Why It exists

Burundi I Know is a long form documentary series exploring landscapes, memory, and opportunity across Burundi. It is not tourism content and not political commentary. It is responsible documentation.

Each episode captures lived reality: hills at dawn, elders preserving oral history, cultural practitioners, natural ecosystems, forgotten infrastructures, and emerging potential. The series asks one central question: What still belongs to us? We show beauty without exaggeration and challenge without distortion, speaking to diaspora audiences who long for connection and to local communities who deserve representation. This is the Burundi I know and the Burundi we continue to document for future generations.

Culture
